Wellness travelers drawn to India’s traditional healing systems now have a dedicated permit rather than a generic medical category. Citizens of one hundred seventy-one countries can apply through the India e-Ayush Visa & Attendant Visa Application Process, built specifically for treatment under Ayush and related indigenous practices like therapeutic care and yoga-based programs.
Approval requires a medical invitation letter from an accredited Ayush institution along with supporting medical history, since the visa exists to serve genuine treatment cases rather than general tourism. Once granted, the permit stays valid sixty days from arrival and allows three separate entries, giving patients room for follow-up visits during longer treatment courses.
Family members joining a patient don’t need separate medical documentation. The companion category, known as the e-Ayush Attendant Visa, only asks for a passport copy and photograph, since eligibility ties directly to the primary patient’s approved application.
